Summer Israeli Folk-Dance Evenings
Performances and folk-dance sessions for the general public – in an open, community atmosphere, free of charge.
With the opening of summer season, the Jerusalem Municipality's Dance Department invites you to step into the enchanted nights of the city and experience together a vibrant, colorful, and moving Israeli tradition.
The summer dance evenings are a celebration of songs and dances – a cornerstone of Israeli culture – weaving together past and present, memory and joy, community and human connection.
Throughout the summer months, city residents, visitors, and tourists will enjoy a multi-generational experience that brings hearts together, combining folk dances from all periods alongside a unique Jerusalem atmosphere under open skies.
The folk-dance evenings will take place with the finest dance leaders: Hila Mokdessi, Mimi Kogan, Ofer Tzofi, Sarit Doron, Mazi Rabbi, and Ofer Alfassi, accompanied by short performances from Jerusalem dance groups representing the city in Israel and abroad.
This is an opportunity to join a warm social-community tradition, to breathe fresh air, move, and connect – through music, movement, and the Jerusalem summer.

Dance evenings on the following dates will take place at Arts High School Plaza (entrance from Bell Park): 24.8.26 | 31.8.26
Free admission
Dancers are invited to register in advance via the form and participate in a raffle held at each dance evening. One winner will be selected at each evening, who will have the opportunity to choose a favorite song/dance and dance it together with the dance leader in the center of the circle. Winners' names will be announced during the dance evening. Don't miss the chance to influence the dance floor – you are invited to register and participate!
