A series of weekly study meetings on Fridays with Rabbi Daniel Epstein. The program features discussions on moral chaos and spiritual searching based on texts by philosophers L. Levinas and E. Hillsem. Participants explore ideas about the meaning of life and inner space. Sessions are held regularly until September.
What can one aspire to, outside and beyond existence and what might fulfill it? The very question already hints at the possibility of another dimension—one that is not a life closed in on itself, nor that of a life finding its complete fulfillment in walking toward its end. Merely posing the question already points to the possibility of an alternative existence, a meaningful one.
Every Friday, we gather at Beit Knesset Yedidia for study meetings with Rabbi Daniel Epstein, who will speak on moral chaos and the possibilities of existing within it, drawing from the writings of Emmanuel Levinas, Etty Hillesum, and others.
