Photographic exhibition dedicated to the Nahal Ravida river and its layers before, during, and after the construction of Road 16. The exhibition presents photographs showing landscape changes. It takes place in Jerusalem, at Spra Square, building 1, floor 0.
Nahal Ravida flows through the valley between the Beit Hakam and Givat Shaul neighborhoods, as well as Har Nof in Jerusalem, and ends near the Beit Zait reservoir. It is a hidden natural corner in the heart of the city—a space where landscape and silence meet.
In recent years, following the construction of Kvisha 16, the river has undergone dramatic changes, leaving a deep mark on the surface and character of the neighborhood. This collection of photographs seeks to explore the river's different layers: before, during, and after, and to analyze how the landscape has solidified, changed, and is beginning to recover.
Menachem Hanani has been a Jerusalem resident for nearly sixty years and lives in the Beit Hakam neighborhood.
Menachem is a retired professor at the Hebrew University School of Medicine and Hadassah Hospital, where he conducts research and teaching in the field of neuroscience. He has enjoyed photography as a hobby since childhood.
