In 1948, Jacques-Yves Cousteau, his wife, and their two sons live in paradise, in a beautiful house overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. However, Cousteau dreams of adventure. Thanks to his invention—an underwater breathing apparatus—he discovers a new world. He longs to explore it and is willing to sacrifice everything to do so.
