A combined musical journey hosted by Yoel Shtrog.
A fascinating journey to Budapest, the capital of Hungary and the economic and cultural center of the entire country.
The city is large and divided into two parts—Buda and Pest—with the Danube River separating them.
A journey to a city where the past and present meet: to its creators, cafés, markets, one of the largest and most magnificent synagogues in Europe, the Jewish Quarter, and the story of the city’s Jewish community.
To the dark period of World War II, to the war photographer, and to the creators who left their mark on the city.
A journey to the city’s symbols: the thermal baths; historic buildings that touch on the city’s complex history; the Danube River and the bridges that cross it;
to the Sculpture Park, a reminder of the Soviet occupation; to the cafés, gardens, and culinary aspects of the city.
The show is accompanied by klezmer music.
Musical ensemble:
Soloist Maxim Solniker—clarinet; Omri Rivlin—accordion; Nir Segal—drums; Yair Setui—piano.
