In a fascinating performance, Krivoshi presents his roots as the son of Holocaust survivors; his musical path as a promising young musician; his military service in the Israel Air Force Orchestra; his performances in Israel and abroad; and his successes as well as his failures.
He talks about his work with artists such as Arik Einstein, Rivka Michaeli, Yehoram Gaon, Tuvia Tzafir, Hanna Laszlo, Gali Atari, Ruthi Navon, and others who met him and shared personal and professional experiences with him throughout the stages of their careers together.
The performance is accompanied by a rare collection of photographs, stills, and video clips from Krivoshi’s private archive. Beyond serving as testimony to milestones in his life, they constitute a rare retrospective document spanning fifty years of Israeli song, beginning in the 1960s, when great moments in entertainment—as well as the leading stars of every era—were documented.
Krivoshi is one of the first creators of Israeli popular songs and music, born around the time of the establishment of the state. He began taking his first professional steps during that period and collaborated with all the artists of his generation in the country. Their collaboration, as well as their work, accompanies the story of the land and serves as what is known as “the soundtrack of our lives.” Through his personal story, supplemented by rare photographs, Krivoshi presents viewers with a chapter in the history of the state, extending from the personal and private perspective into the collective memory.
