A lecture on life in North Korea, featuring rare photographs by Naftali Hilger. The event will take place at the Heichal in the city of Herzliya.
How do people live in a country whose citizens are cut off from the outside world and whose ruler is regarded as a god? How are tourists treated there, and under what conditions can one tour the country? What happens to those who violate the local rules and laws? And why are there actually two Koreas?
Naftali Hilger took the risk of traveling to North Korea despite all the prohibitions, and returned with rare footage from his camera. In this lecture, Naftali will reveal life in North Korea through current and rare photographs. We will temporarily join 27 million North Koreans cut off from the outside world and watch the greatest show on Earth: daily life in North Korea…
We will also tour the capital city, Pyongyang, and other areas between the North and the South—the most volatile border in the world.
An enthralling lecture! Don’t miss it.
