An immersive theatrical performance in the Harish Community Forest, based on “Momo” by Michael Ende. Intended for adults and children over the age of 6.
The performance is an immersive theatrical event taking place in the forest. It is also a time when the audience eats, drinks, meets the actors and the other spectators, walks among the trees, and experiences the forest.
Momo is a girl whose age no one knows, and she lives alone in an old amphitheater.
Momo has a special ability that very few people possess. Momo knows how to listen—to truly listen.
When Momo listens, shy people find great courage in their hearts, and the depressed find hope in their hearts.
But this hope dissolves when the “Gray Men” arrive. They try to persuade people to save time.
They promise that anyone who saves time and deposits it with them in the “Time-Savings Bank” will receive much more time several years later. Momo discovers that the truth is different.
Through Momo’s struggle against the Gray Men and their true plan to steal time from people, we confront existential questions faced by all people living in our time in Western society:
Hurrying, accomplishing more, earning, winning, becoming famous,
instead of: listening, giving in, waiting, rejoicing, breathing, living.
The performance is intended for adults and is suitable for children over the age of 6.
The play is based on Michael Ende’s book Momo.
