A solo performance about the Jewish magician Erik Jan Hanussen, at Beit 9 Theater in Haifa on October 29, 2026, at 18:00. The performance lasts 80 minutes.
A unique solo performance based on the true and astonishing story of the Jewish magician Erik Jan Hanussen—a hypnotist, mind reader, and astrologer. Hanussen rose through German society at the beginning of the last century, predicted the Nazis’ rise to power, met with Adolf Hitler, and even gave him private lessons in mass hypnosis.
Hanussen is portrayed by Liam Lebanon, an international mentalist. The text—a narrative spoken-word piece, all of whose extraordinary details are taken from Hanussen’s biography—was written by Yonatan Levy, and the soundtrack was edited by musician Sean Lo-Yon (Chill Pill).
During the performance, Lebanon performs with and on members of the audience the best of Hanussen’s own astonishing and groundbreaking telepathy tricks. Not to be missed!
