A live and daytime observatory will take place at MadaTech Haifa between 27.09.2026 and 31.10.2026. Watch the night sky in real time and explore space exhibitions.
Daylight Observatory – Starting with Sukkot 2026
How is it possible to see stars in the middle of the day?
During Sukkot, we will break through the boundaries of time and space with a new addition—the first of its kind in Israel: a live daylight observatory.
An advanced robotic telescope, installed in California under dark night skies and in conditions suitable for astronomical observation, allows visitors at MadaTech in Haifa to observe the night sky in real time, while here in Israel it is daytime.
Through the telescope, we will be able to observe planets, the Moon, constellations, nebulae, galaxies, and more, while simultaneously watching a live broadcast of the telescope itself as it moves and adjusts toward its next target.
The observatory will open to the public on September 26, 2026.
Blast Off into Space!

Sabbilon 5 – The Journey into Space: Fasten your seat belts, because an immersive launch simulation awaits you, taking you straight on a breathtaking journey among the stars and the most fascinating phenomena in the galaxy.
The Legendary Observation Window – The Cupola: Have you always wanted to know what Earth looks like from an altitude of 400 kilometers? Enter the precise replica of the famous window from the International Space Station and look down on the world from above.
A View of the Skies – Solar System Exhibition: Come get to know our cosmic home up close—the Sun and our neighboring planets—and discover how each of them contributes to creating the unique conditions that make life possible here on Earth.
Israel in Space: Come see how Israel became a pioneer in space exploration as well, with a display of satellite models, original astronaut equipment, and a real space laboratory that returned to Earth.
A View of the Universe: A spectacular guest exhibition from the American Museum of Natural History, allowing you to witness the birth of stars and supernova explosions photographed by the world’s most advanced space telescopes.
Selfie in Space: Don’t miss the most iconic photographed moments of humanity beyond the atmosphere, including the moving story of Israeli astronaut Ilan Ramon, of blessed memory.
