**July Events**

- **Thursday, 02.07.2026 at 19:00** | Student Village Hosts: Evening of Cultures | Free Entry. A communal, engaging, and delicious dinner: Each participant is invited to bring a dish representing their community, culture, or roots for a shared culinary experience.

- **Thursday, 10.07.2026 at 18:00** | Black Power Poetry Party | Pre-registration required. An evening of poetry, spoken word, music, and live creation led by Nani Baruch. The Black Power line draws inspiration from Ethiopian poetry traditions—Fukara (songs of moral and support), Shilalet (songs of soul and lament), and Getem (prose and rhymed songs)—and adapts them into contemporary culture for new, personal, and striking creation. Young creators from Haifa, both from the Ethiopian community and beyond, will perform on stage with original poetry, spoken word, Getem, singing, and heartfelt live texts. Each evening is built around a different theme, seeking to open a space for listening, meeting, and creating together, where different voices meet, are heard, and gain a platform. Come to listen, get excited, think, and celebrate the power of the word.

A practical and innovative workshop from Haifa Opportunity Center, providing advanced tools for upgrading resumes and passing job interviews using artificial intelligence. Pre-registration required.

- **At 19:30** | Giraffe in the Living Room: How to Cope with the Summer Heat According to Ayurveda | Hat Lecture. The second lecture by Tzipora Gluck - we will acquaint ourselves with the Ayurveda doctrine and learn practical applications and daily tools to help us deal with the summer heat. Tzipora Gluck is a yoga teacher and Ayurveda student. She owns a women’s yoga studio in Haifa and strongly believes in the connection between body and spirit and bringing this ancient knowledge to modern life. Pre-registration required.

Join a creative workshop where you choose your stone from a selection of natural and energetic gemstones, learn to create a wrap for the stone and turn it into a pendant, and leave with a necklace you created to keep your stone close to your heart.

- **Thursday, 06.08.2026 at 19:30** | Fundamentals of Capital Market and Medium to Long-Term Investment | 20 ILS. The lecture will cover a small part of the basics of the capital market relevant to both freelancers and salaried employees, some fundamentals of the money market and banks, how to choose a suitable investment path, and practically how to open an investment route. The idea is to first and foremost promote personal independence over our money and make accessible information that is not always available to the general public. Michel Schneier is a student of economics and investment portfolio management at BDO, an economic mentor, financing and mortgage consultant, trader, and investor.

In the lecture, we will learn how to construct a safe and open dialogue at home, how to strengthen children’s sense of security, what tools are important to provide from a young age, and how to create real protection through connection, knowledge, and appropriate language. The lecture combines professional knowledge, everyday life examples, and practical tools that any parent can implement today. Hila Azrad is a parent guide specializing in supporting parents of children and teenagers and training parents in areas of protection, communication, and family relationships. She has extensive experience guiding families, leading group discussions, and giving lectures to diverse audiences, combining professional knowledge with practical tools at eye level.

- **Monday, 13.08.2026 at 19:30** | Giraffe in the Living Room: Injustice in the Lives of Women with Complex Sexual Trauma | Hat Lecture *Trigger Warning- The content will contain discussions of childhood sexual assaults and their severe impacts* This lecture will examine how the lack of recognition of complex post-trauma in the DSM creates resource scarcity and conceptual gaps, preventing women from accessing the necessary language to process and communicate their experiences. It will expose the systemic injustice within the psychiatric world, where stigmas about female behavior and contempt for the consequences of sexual trauma block women from accessing vital information resources. The lecture offers a critical view on the institutional encounter between psychiatry, sexual violence, and gender, inviting the audience to rethink the relationship between justice, recognition, and expression. Efrat Tzuraf - a master's student in gender and mental health at the University of Haifa. Artist, group facilitator in art, beneficial sexuality, and healthy relationships, as well as a lecturer in gender, feminism, rehabilitation, mental health, girls at risk, and sexual trauma.
