Book club meeting with author Mor Asal at Brosh Leisure Center. A conversation about writing, childhood, parenthood, relationships, and the courage to open up.
Readers’ Club Meeting with author Mor Eshel
“How do you stroke a hedgehog? Carefully, gently—and above all, on its soft belly, exposed and free of spines.”
At the meeting, I will talk about the writing process and the unique publication of How to Stroke a Hedgehog, which became a bestseller (and, even after six years, continues to be a bestseller!) and won the Minister of Culture’s Award in 2021.
We will talk about childhood and growing up in a kibbutz of the past, in Israel of the past, and what they leave with you forever. We will talk about parenthood and relationships, about community and love. And no less importantly, we will talk about the courage to expose yourself, self-expression as healing, and the determination to step into the light with honesty and authenticity.
Meeting duration: approximately one and a half hours
