Three decades after its premiere, Rami Be’er’s iconic work returns to the stage. Zikhron Devarim, one of the masterpieces of Israeli dance, reverberates with the collective and personal trauma left by the Holocaust in the lives of society and the individual. Be’er, one of Israel’s leading artists and a second-generation Holocaust survivor, moves between associative flashes, dismantling and reassembling the intergenerational memory burned into the skin and engraved in the body.
