Excursion to the Judean Mountains dedicated to the collection and tasting of summer fruits: figs, grapes, buckthorn, and wild pistachios. The route passes through scenic areas with an elevation change of 300 meters, visits four springs, and includes the preparation of herbal tea. The hike is led by guide Olga Entina.
Join us this time in the Judean Hills not only to enjoy the evening coolness but also for culinary delight.
In late summer, so-called summer fruits ripen: figs, grapes, buckthorn (sea buckthorn), and wild pistachios. The Judean Hills are abundant with these treats, as people have lived here since ancient times. We are grateful to them today for what they left us. All these fruits are part of nature; you can eat them without asking permission, provided you do not harm the plants.
We will walk 6 kilometers, with an elevation change of 150 meters up and 150 meters down. We will admire beautiful views, discuss those who lived and live in these areas, "study the properties of plants and herbs," and taste and enjoy the flavors. Along the way, we will encounter four springs, where we will make tea from the gathered herbs.
Tour cost: 120 NIS.
Children: 60 NIS.
