Canarro is the virtuoso encounter between swing Manouche and Hungarian Gypsy music—a musical journey between Paris and Budapest unlike anything you will experience anywhere else.

When Canarro takes the stage, two worlds come together: 1930s Paris, where Django Reinhardt revolutionized jazz guitar, and the glittering universe of Budapest’s café culture, where Gypsy virtuosos became legends.

Swing Manouche and Hungarian café music may seem far removed from each other, but in fact they are close relatives: both celebrate freedom, virtuoso improvisation, and joie de vivre.

Canarro’s music reveals these shared roots—seasoning Django’s classics with a Hungarian flavor and weaving the two traditions together in the ensemble’s original compositions as well.

This is not fusion for fusion’s sake, but a natural dialogue between two great European musical cultures.
