The story takes place inside the mind of a young girl named Riley, whose life is guided by five emotions: Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust, and Sadness.
Her emotions have a command center inside her mind, which they use to control Riley and guide her through life. When Riley’s parents announce that they are moving to a new home in San Francisco, all the emotions must unite and stick together, despite their differences, in order to guide Riley through the crisis.
