Beetlejuice
A young couple killed in a car accident becomes trapped between the worlds of the living and the dead. As ghosts, they wander through their home, only to discover in horror that a wealthy nouveau riche family has moved in.
They try to frighten the family using typical ghostly methods, but fail.
They are therefore forced to hire the services of “Beetlejuice” (the excellent Michael Keaton)—a professional exorcist from the world of the dead, a repulsive creature who feeds on cockroaches.
Only the family’s young, morbid daughter (Winona Ryder) finds a common language with the ghosts.
