A Wise Folk Tale
A hungry beggar arrives in a small village, hoping to receive some food. To his surprise, the townspeople shut themselves inside their homes and ignore him—and do not even help one another.
The wandering beggar decides to open their hearts (and fill his stomach, too), promising to prepare soup for all the village residents made from… buttons!
A colorful, amusing, and thought-provoking play about the power of cooperation, community solidarity, and the realization that if everyone contributes their small share, together it is possible to do great things—and make a difference.
The children in the audience help the two actors tell the story, experiencing for themselves the magic of cooperation and the advantage of a united society.
