The children's musical play “Bagis's Journey to the Land of Oz” takes the characters into a world of wonders and trials.
The children’s musical Bagis’ Journey to the Land of Oz elegantly intertwines the world of insects with the classic story of The Wizard of Oz.
At the heart of the story is the cheerful group of insects “Bagis” and their lead singer, Perla. One day, following a storm raised by a shopkeeper named Nissim, they are drawn into an enchanting world full of wonders. During this extraordinary journey, the ensemble members take on the roles of iconic heroes—the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, and the Lion—in the hope of finding the great Wizard who will grant them intelligence, a heart, and courage.
Meanwhile, the bee Debi and her agent, Baz, scheme to lead the friends astray so that Debi can take Perla’s place and become the new lead singer.
In the finale, however, the heroes make an important discovery: everything they were searching for has long lived within them. Having overcome their trials, they return home, remaining true to their friendship and showing generosity and forgiveness even toward their rivals.
The show gently and inspiringly explores themes of self-belief, the power of cooperation, and the simple yet timeless truth that there is no place like home.
