Hiya, an Israeli dancer in Berlin, grapples with a secret pregnancy and a complicated relationship with her mother Vicki. When her mother arrives in Berlin to fulfill a strange will, the family enters a humorous and painful whirlwind that exposes her personal past and the traumas of German Jewry. This dramedy explores the relationships between the second and third generations and remnants of the first.

A young Israeli dancer begins a new life in Berlin that includes a successful career and a secret pregnancy. In Petah Tikva, she leaves behind her brother Netzach and her mother Vicky, who has refused to speak to her for two years. One day, Vicky surprises her and arrives in Berlin to fulfill her father's unconventional will—the grandfather of the dancer and Netzach. Soon the family members are swept into a whirlwind that reveals, with much humor and pain, their own past and that of the Jews in Germany, along the way drawing in a young German ticket agent and a local museum director at the site of annihilation.
