A lecture by photojournalist Amnon Gutman about documenting the war and his photographs.
Amnon Gutman, an international photojournalist specializing in documenting conflict zones around the world, presents his lecture “Iron Swords: A War Diary,” in which he will discuss and display photographs reflecting what he experienced during the war that began, and share his professional choices with us.
♦ The museums will be open to ticket holders for this lecture for tours starting at 18:00.
♦ To mark three years since October 7, a memorial installation will be displayed in the museum complex from October 4–10, 26. Immediately after October 7, Sarah Avnin-Ganisher, a textile artist from Kibbutz Yifat, initiated a participatory women’s art project—a knitting project commemorating the victims of Black Saturday—in collaboration with the Israeli Art Gallery. It was displayed at the Tivon Memorial Center and subsequently on various occasions.
Approximately 1,600 knitted anemones, made by around 300 women of all ages, form a single tapestry.
