Through working with weight, gravity, momentum, space, and a partner, we will explore how interaction and movement can develop into form, expression, and content—and into character, narrative, and theatrical action.

A performance based on James Joyce’s Ulysses, at the intersection of physical theatre, documentary theatre, and dance. The work journeys through Joyce’s text into memory, experience, and human consciousness, inviting the audience to become travellers on their own inner journey.

A performance inspired by George Orwell’s Animal Farm, created against the backdrop of military and political conflicts, migration, and an endless flow of news. Through the personal experiences of its creators and performers, the work explores the echoes and parallels between Orwell’s world and contemporary reality.

About Lex Shcherbakov

Lex Shcherbakov is a director, choreographer, teacher, and psychologist working at the intersection of physical theatre, object theatre, dramatic theatre, and documentary theatre. Over the years, he has worked in theatres and on projects in Russia and throughout Europe, with professional artists as well as diverse communities and populations.
