A musical performance with Natan Datner and Gil Shohat, featuring songs, monologues, and classical works. It takes place at the Ashkelon Cultural Hall.
The two maestros meet on one stage: Natan Datner and Gil Shohat, in a rich, rhythmic performance featuring songs and monologues from renowned musicals, from Fiddler on the Roof to My Fair Lady; nostalgic songs from Jacques Brel to Leonard Cohen; beloved Israeli songs from Sasha Argov to Dov Seltzer; and, of course, classical works.
Natan Datner is Israel’s most sought-after actor, the undisputed star of Israeli musical theater, and in recent years, also a successful director. Datner has left his mark on the face of Israeli culture through an astonishing, decades-long career in film, television, and, of course, on every type of theater stage—as well as through unprecedented successes in leading roles in productions such as Fiddler on the Roof and My Fair Lady.
In this concert, Gil Shohat will perform Edvard Grieg’s dramatic and masterful Piano Concerto.
