In winter 2027, we look forward to an exciting encounter with Argentine tango king Marcos Ayala and the finest tango dancers he has assembled in his company, “Marcos Ayala Tango Company,” in the elegant, captivating, and sensual dance performance Tango Buenos Aires.

The performance takes audiences back to the “Golden Age of Tango,” creating an atmosphere of celebration in the spirit of 1940s and 1950s America—a period when music and dance symbolized freedom and the search for a new identity.

This is a spectacular musical and choreographic journey through the era of swing, big-band orchestras, tango canyengue, and milonga. Men in tuxedos and shiny shoes, and women in high heels and flowing dresses, create complex and mesmerizing patterns onstage.

The sweeping music and elegant movements of the dancers, infused with the spirit of tango, convey the genre’s passion, sensuality, and charisma to the audience.

The luxurious costumes were specially designed for each piece in the performance, with unique details and accessories carefully selected. Together with the stage design and dramatic lighting, they create a rich visual world and a distinctive, unforgettable artistic language.

Marcos Ayala—World Tango Champion (Japan, 2006), director, choreographer, and dancer—is considered one of the world’s leading tango artists. Following a major tour of the United States in 2015, he won two Latin ACE Awards: one for lifetime achievement, and the other for the performance Tango Lovers, which was named “Musical of the Year.”

Ayala also participated in productions by Cirque du Soleil as a guest choreographer, and earned the nickname “The Revelation of Tango” for his role in the musical Chantecler Tango (Argentina, 2012–2014; France, 2013).

Marcos Ayala masterfully combines the traditional language of tango with contemporary artistic expression. His company, “Marcos Ayala Tango Company,” founded in Buenos Aires in 2012, was born from the desire to keep tango alive, evolving, and open to dialogue with other art forms—based on the creator’s personal and profound vision.
