Admission to the Ashdod Museum of Art exhibitions
A selection of exhibitions of contemporary Israeli art at the Ashdod Museum of Art. The museum presents works by Hadas Set, Amit Kabesa, and video works from the museum’s collection.
The Ashdod Museum of Art is opening a new group of exhibitions offering a multidisciplinary view of contemporary Israeli art.
Hadas Set, winner of the 2021 Nira, wife of, Makov Israel Prize, is presenting the exhibition “Joy in Repetition.” This is Set’s first museum exhibition; she has been active in the Israeli art scene for the past two decades.
Painter Amit Kabesa will present a solo exhibition curated by Yael Katz Ben Shalom, “When I’m Not Painting, I Go Digging.” Kabesa presents a new body of work revealing a fascinating shift in his practice: large-scale abstract painting offering an immersive experience of color, material, and space.
Alongside these, an exhibition of video works from the museum’s collection will be presented. These works were shown at the museum in various exhibitions during the previous decade and sought to reveal central processes in contemporary Israeli culture.
