Muse and Coffee | Talking Art, Meetings for Men Only

The Muse and Coffee program is a lecture series that brings artists and audiences together through open conversations about creativity, inspiration, and work processes—in an intimate, warm atmosphere, with a good cup of coffee.

As part of the lectures, we will meet artists from various fields—painting, sculpture, photography, music, stage, and more—from Israel and abroad, from our time and from the past, women and men.

Each meeting focuses on the artist’s personal journey, the story behind the work, and open questions for discussion.

Who is it suitable for: Anyone thirsting for knowledge, interested in art, creativity, and inspiration, or simply wanting to get to know creative people up close.

What makes it special: This is not a formal lecture, but an open, personal conversation accompanied by a presentation, allowing the audience to ask questions, listen, and feel part of the artistic world.

The atmosphere: Intimate, calm, and inviting.

The program offers 12 meetings—that is, 12 artists, some of whom we all know and some of whom are anonymous, with fascinating life stories.

Examples of lectures accompanied by a presentation:

First meeting: 9/24 — “In Which (Stock) Shares Did Van Gogh Invest?”—a work inspired by red sunflowers.

Second meeting: 10/8 — “The World’s Greatest Art Thefts”—a work inspired by the “stolen” yet eternal Mona Lisa.

Third meeting: 10/22 — “Marilyn Monroe? The Sadness in My Garden”—Marilyn Monroe, sculpted in iron.

Fourth meeting: 11/5 — “Frida Kahlo—the First Feminist?”—a collage inspired by her works.

Fifth meeting: 12/10 — Yayoi Kusama and the Dots—a wood design inspired by dots.

Sixth meeting: 12/17 — Who Are You, Yaacov Agam? A three-dimensional work.

Seventh meeting: 12/31 — “The Caveman Nissim Kahlon and His Life on the Sandy Shore of Herzliya”—a work.
