Fashion and Anthropology Exhibition at the Museum of Philistine Culture in Ashdod. Admission includes a visit to the permanent exhibition, The World of the Philistines.
An exhibition exploring the everyday question “What should I wear?”, which encompasses decisions about appearance, belonging, and nonverbal communication.
Ashdod, as a city of many voices, is a distinctive space for these contexts. Its numerous communities carry distinct dress codes that merge and meet in the public sphere.
“Seam Line” joins a broad dialogue led by the Museum of Philistine Culture about material culture.
Fashion and visual-culture researchers, designers, dressers, costume designers, street photographers, and multidisciplinary artists were invited to decipher the subject, illuminating different aspects of dress culture: dressers, reflections on clothing, and the anthropology of dress.
