An activity and free-play space for parents and children from birth to age 6, at the Ashdod Municipal Society for Culture and Leisure.
Additional details
“Safe Space” is an environment for free activities and play for parents and young children, from birth to age 6. The first spaces were opened for displaced communities throughout the country as early as October 2023, in hotels and other centers, providing children with a safe place to play, grow, and develop even during the war.
Today, the permanent spaces in southern and northern Israel focus on growth after crisis, developing children’s capabilities through choice, empowerment, and age-appropriate challenges, alongside strengthening the parent-child relationship and developing emotional language.
