This exhibition explores the everyday question "What to wear?", encompassing decisions about appearance, belonging, and non-verbal communication. Ashdod, as a polyphonic city, represents a unique space for these contexts. Its numerous communities bring distinct dress codes that assimilate and intersect in public spaces. "The Seam Line" integrates into a broad dialogue conducted by the Philistine Culture Museum regarding material culture. The curatorial team invited fashion and visual textile researchers, designers, stylists, costume artists, street photographers, and multidisciplinary artists who highlight various aspects of clothing culture: wearing people, reflections on clothing, and the anthropology of fashion.
