A moving and gripping dramatic comedy.
Haya, a young Israeli dancer, has started a new life in Berlin, complete with a successful career and a secret pregnancy. Back in Petah Tikva are her brother, Nצח, and her mother, Vicky, who has refused to speak to her for two years.
One day, Vicky surprises them by arriving in Berlin to carry out the unusual will of Haya and Nצח’s grandfather. The family members are soon swept into a whirlwind that reveals, with plenty of humor and pain, both their own past and that of Jews in Germany. Along the way, they draw in a young German ticket seller and the director of a local museum at the site of extermination.
A dramatic comedy about the second generation, the third generation, and the memories of the first generation.
