Part Two – The Asner Brothers – “Hello? Is This Yossi Banai?”
A tribute show to one of the beloved creators in Israeli culture
There are artists whose songs stay with us. Yossi Banai left us much more than that—he left us a way to tell a story, laugh at ourselves, be moved by the little things, and fall in love with Hebrew all over again.
Jerusalemite at heart, sharp-tongued, witty, tearfully funny and moving in the same breath—Banai was a gifted storyteller, a rare actor, and the owner of a unique voice that could never be mistaken.
In a special show filled with love, we return to his rich world through the songs, sketches, and stories that made him one of the most recognizable and beloved voices in Israel.
Songs include: “Twenty-Year-Old Love,” “From So Much Love,” “Hebrew Is a Difficult Language,” “Me, Shimon, and Little Moiz,” “Inventory,” and more.
Participants:
The Asner Brothers – singing, playing, and hosting
Alon Ofir – acting, singing, and readings
Mati Seri – singing
Noa Asner – singing
