Shlomi Saranga—the great voice of Israel’s Greek music scene!
Shlomi Saranga is the leading artist who made Greek music an inseparable part of the soundtrack of Israeli culture.
For more than 30 years, he has led the genre in Israel, conquered the biggest stages, and moved audiences in Israel and around the world.
In a powerful hits show, accompanied by a seven-member band, Saranga performs his greatest hits in Hebrew alongside a rich Greek repertoire, including Greece’s iconic classics.
Shlomi Saranga’s illustrious career is a milestone in Greek music in Israel and has established him as the country’s leading and unique artist in the genre.
Saranga’s musical path is deeply rooted in Greece. At the beginning of his career, he lived in Athens for about a year and performed every evening as the house singer at the prestigious Athenian nightclub “Golden Barrel.”
During this period, he deepened his connection to the Greek language, culture, and music, and gained popularity among Greek audiences.
Saranga’s distinctive voice is known for its extraordinary resemblance to the voice of Stelios Kazantzidis, one of the greatest singers in Greek history.
In a rare meeting between the two, while Kazantzidis was still alive, Saranga received exceptional recognition from him when he proclaimed him his successor.
These days, Saranga travels between Tel Aviv and Athens, where he performs with his band from Athens—a group of first-rate musicians from Greece—and simultaneously creates and works on new Greek music projects.
