Beit Guvrin National Park has many caves. They were created by people many years ago.
People quarried the rock and used the pieces to build houses. When they removed a lot of rock, a large opening remained inside it, creating a cave. After all the rock had been removed, the space could be used to keep sheep and goats, or converted into a storage room for all kinds of things.
There are many interesting things around the caves, such as large carob trees and olive trees whose fruit we love to eat. There are also wild animals in the area, but they mainly come out at night, including bats, foxes, porcupines, and various birds. We will look for their tracks and may even find some.
