A funny, moving, and magical play about creativity, imagination, true friendship, and a gift that warms the heart.
It’s the princess’s birthday—how exciting! But Princess Anne is very sad. She discovers that the king and queen are stuck on the other side of the kingdom and will not make it back in time for her birthday.
George, the royal adviser, announces a competition: “The Most Special Gift!” The boy or girl who brings the princess a gift that makes her especially happy will win a prize!
Among all the expensive and sparkling gifts, one simple yet surprising present captures the princess’s curiosity. But who is the gift from? There is no note or greeting…
Anne asks Ron, the young servant at the palace, to find out who sent the gift and invite them to the celebration. He returns with an answer: the gift was sent by a prince from a distant land.
“Of course!” says the princess. “Only a prince would think of such a creative and beautiful gift!”
What is the one-of-a-kind gift? Will the prince come to Anne’s birthday? Where does Ron disappear to just before the party?
