Sharon is a divorced retiree in her sixties who lives in a small town in the United States. She loves cooking, and her idea of the ultimate pastime is an evening at book club.
When Sharon looks for a roommate, Robin appears—a wild New Yorker, a lesbian, a vegan, who is hiding a skeleton or two in her closet.
To everyone’s surprise, Sharon is not deterred by her new roommate’s turbulent presence and is even drawn into her world. What begins as an innocent living arrangement develops into a dangerous adventure that neither of them expected.
A funny, witty, and touching duet that captivated Broadway audiences.
THE ROOMMATE is presented by special arrangement with United Talent Agency.
The performance uses a cigarette-like stage prop.
