A tour exploring the contribution of the Jezreel Valley Railway to the development of the dairy industry in the valley
Friday, 12 Heshvan 2026/2027, October 23, 2026
We will meet at the Jezreel Valley Railway site in Kfar Yehoshua and enjoy coffee and a pastry. We will begin the tour with the Jezreel Valley Railway exhibit, located in the original, preserved station buildings. We will then travel in private vehicles to the nearby moshav of Kfar Yehoshua.
We will visit Amzitur Farm, founded in 1927 by Miriam and Eliyahu Amzitur. Today, three generations of the family work there, raising cows and goats for milk and sheep for meat. At the farm, we will talk about advanced agriculture, vision, and family.
From there, we will continue to Yariv Farm for a meeting with dairy farmers and a rare glimpse of old and antique machinery that has been used to produce Kfar Yehoshua’s famous cream from then until today. We will conclude with tastings.
