About the Activity
Join us for an exciting autumn hike in the Hazaka Ridge in the Upper Golan.
Along the route, we will explore the fascinating story of the area, the unique geology of the ancient volcanic mountains, the rich vegetation and wildlife characteristic of the Golan, as well as settlement and heritage stories amid the open landscapes of the frontier.
During the hike, we will walk through a natural oak forest, along unique basalt trails, across green pasturelands, and past remnants of ancient agriculture.
During this season, we will enjoy the highlight of the hike: the spectacular blooming of autumn crocuses, covering the landscape in brilliant yellow.
Along the way, we will also enjoy an impressive view from Mount Hazaka toward Mount Hermon, the Hula Valley, and the expanses of the Golan Heights.
Later on the route, we will reach Ein Juwaiza, a small and picturesque spring hidden among the trees, offering a magical resting spot and an opportunity for a refreshing dip in its cool waters.

The route follows a relatively comfortable marked trail, mostly downhill, with some sections in the shade and some in the sun.

A hat, shoes, water for the entire family, and something light to eat. (Change of clothes for anyone who wants to enter the water.)

We will arrange a vehicle shuttle to the beginning of the route.
