Screening of the film “Sentimental Value” at the Megiddo Cultural Center. A moving drama about a father and his daughters, directed by Joachim Trier.
Film Synopsis:
Winner of the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film!
Award-winning director Joachim Trier reunites with actress Renate Reinsve (“The Worst Person in the World”) for a moving and inspiring drama that astounded the Cannes Film Festival—and the Academy Awards.
Following the death of Nora’s mother, her father Gustav (Stellan Skarsgård, “Dune”), a renowned film director, returns to her life with a proposition: he wants her to play the lead role in a new autobiographical work he is developing.
Nora refuses, and the role is given to a promising American actress (Elle Fanning, “20th Century Women”), who changes the course of the film. Between the absence of their beloved mother, their father’s return, and the work on the film, Nora and her sister Agnes try to find their way through a maze of conflicting emotions and a desire to open a new chapter in their lives.
