A workshop on designing an origami light fixture will take place for 3 hours at HaAlon 39, Yavne. No prior experience is required; suitable for ages 12 and up.
At FoldedLight, we will create light fixtures using the “blits” technique—geometric scoring in two-dimensional sheets that transform into a three-dimensional construction, from the art of paper folding: origami.
The paper-folding technique has undergone an amazing transformation in recent years, from an art form into design techniques characterized by the clean lines and aesthetics of the Japanese design world.
In the workshop, we will create an impressive, fashionable, and stylish light fixture with geometric lines. We use special paper suitable for light and heat, produced in the studio especially for the session.
After three hours of creating, you will leave with a light fixture ready to hang at home. It only needs to be connected to electricity, thereby upgrading the appearance of any room in the house.
The origami light-fixture workshop is intended for ages 12 and up. No background or previous experience is required. The workshop takes place with a minimum of 4 participants.
