The Israel Land Authority and the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel invite you to Walking into the Open, a nature-and-sea tour in the Zikim Sands!
Zikim Sands is a beautiful nature reserve and coastal strip on the southern coastal plain.
Join us for a tour along wooden bridges surrounding the mouth of the Shikma Stream, where it meets the Mediterranean Sea—a remarkable area restored after October 7.
We will walk through some of the most beautiful natural sand dunes remaining on the southern coastal plain, observe unique coastal vegetation, and watch birds that come to rest near the stream waters and the riparian vegetation surrounding the estuary.
A refreshing coastal hiking experience near the sea!
The tour is not accessible. Infants may be brought in baby carriers.
The Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel reserves the right to cancel or modify the activity according to weather, security, and safety conditions, and at its sole discretion.
