The “Going Outdoors” Festival by the Israel Land Authority and the Society for the Protection of Nature invites you to explore Taninim Tel, an ancient mound, and a picturesque seaside bay!

Enjoy a rich and unique tour combining breathtaking landscapes, fascinating history, and vibrant nature—all within easy reach!

We will meet in the palm grove of the fishermen’s village of Jisr az-Zarqa and walk to the place where Nahal Taninim flows into the sea.

We will reach the beautiful stone bridge over the stream—a perfect spot to stop and take a family photo.

We will hear about the animals that live in the water and among the vegetation, and about the unique restoration of the stream in Israel.

We will climb Taninim Tel, an ancient port city offering the most beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea in Israel. We will hear the story of the Ghawarna tribe, then descend to the beach and observe the fishermen’s bay of Jisr az-Zarqa.

We will look for unusual seashells and learn about the history of the local residents and their surprising connection to Baron Rothschild.
