Who should take this course?

This course is appropriate for those who have completed Beginner I Yiddish or equivalent coursework.

What topics will this class cover?

This class will cover basic grammar and vocabulary. Students will develop the four key language skills: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. In addition to studying Unit II (ch. 5-7) of the textbook In eynem, we will also dedicate some time to the holidays and get to know Yiddish culture through songs and excerpts from literature.

Is knowledge of the Yiddish alphabet required?

Yes, knowledge of the Yiddish alphabet is required.
