Basket-weaving workshop
A basket-weaving workshop for the whole family will take place on 27/09/2026 at 12:30 in the Shimshit Entrance Hall, Zippori Stream. We will make a basket from natural materials.
An experiential basket-weaving workshop for the whole family using reeds and palm fronds (materials that are environmentally and people-friendly). No prior knowledge is required.
Our ancestors understood how to use plant materials found in their natural surroundings to create useful tools that would serve them, while living in harmony with nature and Mother Earth.
In the workshop, we will learn to weave with reeds (bamboo) and dried palm branches, and create a basket with a wooden base in various sizes and shapes, according to your imagination.
