Amidst the ruins of the ancient synagogue in Ba'amei, embark on an emotional journey following the tradition of Selichot. During a special evening of prayer, piyyutim (liturgical poems), and niggunim (melodies), hear stories from the life of the Jewish community that once lived here. Those interested can continue after the tour to Selichot prayers at the tomb of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai in Meron.
Time Travel: From the Glorious Past of the Synagogue to Selichot Prayers
Amidst the ruins of the ancient and impressive synagogue in Baram, under the light of a magical Galilean night, we will embark together on an emotional journey following the tradition of Selichot.
During this special evening of prayer, piyyutim (liturgical poems), and melodies, we will hear stories from the life of the Jewish community that once lived here, and experience moments of connection to our roots, to the community, and to a sense of inner renewal.
Those interested may continue after the tour to Selichot prayers at the Tomb of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai in Meron (independent travel, approx. 10 minutes).
