There is a special way to begin a new year: pause the rush for a moment, breathe in crisp mountain air, connect with nature and family, and enjoy the little moments that warm the heart. We invite you to a Rosh Hashanah vacation at Hermon Field School—three days of spectacular landscapes, fascinating stories, holiday atmosphere, and family experiences.
15:00 – We begin the year with a festive tour of Majdal Shams, including a visit to the Hill of Shouts—a moving observation point overlooking the border and telling the unique story of the Golan.
17:30 – Arrival at Hermon Field School. Check-in and settling into rooms.
19:00 – Festive holiday dinner, hosted by Vered Lans, Director of Instruction at the Golan and Hermonim Field Schools. She will accompany the evening with New Year’s blessings, holiday stories, and a warm, moving family atmosphere.
08:00 – Breakfast and collection of a packed lunch.
09:00 – Departure for Mount Hermon.
We will travel to the Hermon site, ride the cable car toward the upper station, and discover the magic of Mount Hermon in autumn. From there, we will climb to the Battle Hills and enjoy an impressive view of Israel, Lebanon, and Syria, while discovering flora and fauna unique to Mount Hermon.
From there, we will drive down to Mount Kramim, overlooking the Yafouri Valley—“the Tuscany of the Golan”—and Birkat Man, a unique and remarkable natural phenomenon.
15:00 – Free time to enjoy the tranquility of the north: take an independent walk, sit at a café, discover charming corners, or simply relax מול the landscapes of the northernmost region of Israel.
19:00 – Festive dinner.
20:00 – Interactive evening activity for the whole family—a bonding, funny, and enjoyable experience in which we will discover together how well we have come to know the area during the vacation.
08:00 – Breakfast.
09:00 – Check-out and transport of vehicles to She’ar Yashuv.
09:30 – Departure for the Lower Banias Trail—walking among flowing water, green vegetation, and wild nature along a route that inspires tranquility and renewal, exactly as we would wish for ourselves at the beginning of the new year.
12:30 – Estimated end time.
May this be the beginning of a year filled with hikes, experiences, nature, family time, and unforgettable moments. Shana Tova!
