At Apollonia National Park there is an independent experiential game for families, with missions to find a color treasure using riddles and a map. At the fortress you can scan a QR code and listen to a podcast about the historic battles at the site. The activity is free, aside from the entrance fee to the site. It is available every day of the week in August between 11:00 – 20:30.
Add a Splash of Color to Your Family Trip at Apollonia National Park!
Want to make your family walk through Apollonia National Park more colorful?
Ask the Visitor Service Center at the park entrance for a “Color Treasure” kit. Using a riddle sheet and a map, you’ll set off on a mission to the park’s points of interest. Answer the riddles correctly, add the discovered colors to your collection, and receive a small surprise at the end of the quest.
When you reach the fort, scan the QR code and listen to the special podcast we created with Yuval Malchi, the “podcast champion” for kids. Unlike the podcasts you hear at home or in the car, this one plays right on site, letting you see the historic battlefields where Crusaders fought Muslims, learn where the combatants came from, why they built a wall and a moat, and who ultimately won.
When: Every day in August, 11:00 – 20:30 (8:30 PM).
