A unique timed performance that combines video art and original music composed especially for the story. The event examines the figure of Bela Kish – a Hungarian intellectual who became a myth. On stage, creators Oren Barazili and Maya Gazit create a dark experience that blends historical truth and legend. The mission is to reveal who he truly was – a serial killer, a sophisticated swindler, or a vampire.
Bela Kish was a real person. He was of Hungarian descent, an intellectual and charismatic, and then barrels were found in his yard containing preserved corpses.
This is a story of a passion that turned into violence against a man who crossed a border, and the moment when an entire community began whispering the word “vampire”.
In a unique time‑based performance that combines original video art and music composed especially for the story by Oren Barzili and diver Maya Gazit (creator of the successful “Ratzach” podcast), the evening is pure horror, divided into six chilling sections that oscillate between historical truth and dark legend.
Gazit and Barzili together create a live, dark, and thrilling stage event that tries to answer the questions: Who was Bela Kish? A serial killer? A sophisticated traitor? Or Europe’s last vampire?
