Yarkon National Park – Tel Afek (Antipatris) Compound - The British Water Plant
Visit the Mandate-era water plant built in the 1930s by the British to transfer Yarkon water to Jerusalem. The tour includes entry to a huge underground reservoir that was secret for many years. The activity takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays during the months of August, September, and October.

We invite you to independently experience the full trail at the Mandate-era water plant, including entry to the giant underground water reservoir that was kept secret for many years. The water plant was built by the British in the 1930s with the intent to transport the Yarkon spring waters to thirsty Jerusalem. These structures stood for years in the center of the national park, and recently, walking paths have been established between the facilities with their fascinating stories.
When: During the months of August, September, and October, the exhibit will be open on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:00, 11:00, and 12:00.
On Fridays and Saturdays (no registration required), it will be open at 11:00 and 13:00.
