Dov Hamar – a singer with a big, gritty voice and an amazing harmonica player – is one of the most veteran and prolific blues artists in Israel. He arrived in the country from Chicago and began his career as a harmonica player in the band of Canadian blues artist Ted Cooper. Over the years he has led various bands, recorded nine albums of original music, and performed with some of the world’s leading blues musicians.
Hamar returns to Shablon for a scorching midday show with his long‑time elite ensemble, delivering an authentic, roots‑driven performance of original songs in a wide range of blues styles—from deep Mississippi blues to hard‑edged Chicago blues and modern blues‑rock.
