In the twilight glow and gentle breeze of late summer, on the sea front at Poleg Beach, you are invited to a special evening that will take you into the wondrous world hidden just beneath the water’s surface.
At the bar of BAYZ restaurant you will meet Tal Raz – “the Whisperer to Turtles”. She will guide you on a captivating journey following Israel’s sea turtles. Through personal stories, rare documentation, and moving rescue moments, you will:
- Discover the rich biological diversity of the Mediterranean Sea.
- Meet up close the brown and green sea turtles that live in the Bat Galim reef in Haifa.
- Learn how each of us can see the sea with fresh eyes.
About the speaker
Tal Raz is an environmental activist and lecturer whose mission is to connect people to the sea through experience, storytelling, and inspiration. She leads the project that documents and individually identifies sea turtles in the Bat Galim reef and works to promote protection of marine habitats in Israel.
